Controls HFJV Humidifier HFJV

Successful treatment begins with choosing the right therapy. For more than a decade the Life Pulse® has proven to be an effective therapy for early intervention and treatment of pulmonary interstitial emphysema and other volutrauma induced lung injury.

Small, high velocity breaths and fast rates coupled with passive exhalation are the key to achieving the lowest therapeutic pressures possible. The use of optimal PEEP to maintain lung volume has significantly improved the clinician's ability to oxygenate patients.

T
he Life Pulse® is easy to use with only three control settings: PIP, Rate and I-Time. Other functions are automatically controlled and manually adjustable. PEEP and "sigh" breaths are supplied by a conventional ventilator operated in tandem with the Life Pulse®.

The LifePort™ Endotracheal Tube Adapter has eliminated the need to reintubate with a special ET tube. The Life Pulse® is easier than ever to implement.

For information on free training, a clinical trial, or our no-purchase programs call us or e-mail your clinical specialist.

Whisper Jet Patient Box

(user cursor to view part labels)

The Whisper Jet Patient Box makes the Life Pulse® High-Frequency Ventilator, a uniquely effective mode of ventilation. It allows the inhalation valve and pressure transducer to be placed close to the patient. This close proximity makes the small high velocity breaths more effective and facilitates fast and accurate pressure monitoring. The result is a system that responds to changes in your patient, moment to moment.

Sealed Enclosure: Dramatically reduces noise and keeps fluids out

Tubing Connections: Now located on the ends of the box to protect against kinking

Pressure Transducer: Positioned to minimize potential fouling

Pinch Tubing Capture: Designed to hold the pinch tubing more securely

Flexible Cable: Reduced stiffness allows for hassle-free placement

LifePort™ Adapter

(user cursor to view part labels)

The LifePort™ Endotracheal Tube Adapter gives you the same easy access to High-Frequency Jet Ventilation that you have with conventional ventilation.

Simply replace the 15-mm adapter on a standard endotracheal tube with the LifePort™ adapter and start high-frequency jet ventilation.

The LifePort™ provides reliable pressure monitoring and effective jet gas delivery.

The 15-mm connector is provided so PEEP and "sigh" breaths from a conventional ventilator can be delivered in tandem with the high frequency breaths from the Life Pulse®.

This combined capability provides greater therapeutic flexibility and allows fine-tuning of the ventilator strategy to meet the patient's specific needs.

The pressure monitoring line is the small-diameter clear tube attached to the side of the adapter. It connects to the Patient Box to provide accurate and reliable pressure monitoring.

The jet port on the side of the adapter redirects Life Pulse® breaths toward the lungs. Each breath accelerates through the jet port, which creates a long spike of high velocity gas that penetrates safely through the upper airway dead space volume.

The shape and velocity of these breaths enable them to deliver fresh oxygenated gas deep into the lungs using smaller tidal volumes and less pressure than conventional ventilators.

The endotracheal tube end of the LifePort™ adapter is available in 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, and 5.5 mm O.D. so it can fit the full range of ET tube sizes used with the Life Pulse®.

The Jet Port Cap seals the jet port when HFJV is not in use.

Patient Circuit Kit

(user cursor to view part labels)

The HFJV Patient Circuit Kit contains all the disposable items necessary to provide a patient with high frequency jet ventilation:

2 Life Pulse® HFJV Patient Breathing Circuits

The HFJV Patient Breathing Circuit is a one-piece disposable humidifier cartridge and patient breathing circuit that delivers heated, humidified gas from the ventilator to the patient for up to 7 days of continuous use.

4 LifePort™ Endotracheal Tube Adapters

  • 2 each 2.5 mm
  • 2 each 3.5 mm

The LifePort™ Endotracheal Tube Adapter (see LifePort™ tab above) provides a convenient method of operating the Life Pulse® in tandem with a conventional ventilator.
